WEEK 3
Blog #1: What are you thankful for in your internship experience?
This particular internship is great overall. I am very thankful that High Tech High makes the 11th graders do this because otherwise I wouldn't get the opportunity to network and meet new people, as well as the opportunity to build my social skills and get first hand experience on what its like to be a real estate agent. Although this internship has been great, It has had its times where it was hard/tedious work. That's why I am thankful me and Jayden both share the workload we're given and I would say we work really well together and are able to get things done efficiently. The picture below is when me and Jayden spent a while filing these flyers.

Blog#2: Who benefits from the work that you do at internship? How and/or why?
Me and Jayden mostly assist Tami Fuller's assistants because Tami is very busy and isn't in the office usually. The work we mainly do is we file, organize, and help prepare caravans or house showcasing's. I think this really benefits Tami's assistants Veronica, Samantha, and Liz, because they have so much work on their plate already. Me and Jayden as mentioned before work really well together and are super efficient so they appreciate us. The picture below is me building CMA books for Tami.

Blog#3: Describe how experiences at HTHMA have prepared you for your experience at internship.
High Tech High has helped me grow and has for sure helped me prepare me for my internship. High Tech High being a project based school has forced me to get out of my comfort shell and work with others which are very beneficial skills in the workplace. From being at this school I have also improved my social skills and my presentation skills. I'm grateful that I attend HTHMA because of this. As I continue the rest of my high school years at this school I hope and wish for more learning and growing experiences.

Blog# 1: Who is your mentor? Describe his or her life, education, career path and more.
My mentor is Tami Fuller. Tami fuller is a real estate broker who started her own brokerage "Tami Fuller % Associates." Her team and her specialize in residential real estate ever since 1988. As realtors, they have helped clients buy and sell their homes throughout the San Diego County for 30+ years. When I interviewed Tami, I was able to learn more about her personal life and also her achievements. Tami's Day to Day working in real estate is extremely busy, she is constantly outside the office working with clients or setting up caravans and etc.

Blog# 2: Are you planning to continue working with your internship site or mentor after internship is over? If so, how did these plans develop? What will you be doing?
Yes, I plan to keep the connections I made at this internship. When this internship is over, I will continue to learn more about real estate and push myself. As soon as I turn 18, I will go for my real estate license. So, I know that will include lots of studying and lots of time but I know that if have any questions I can always ask Samantha, Tami, or Veronica to help me. My plan Ultimately is to have real estate as kind of a side job while I'm pursuing my education in engineering.

FINAL WEEK (5)
Blog#1: What advice would you pass on to future interns? What are the most important skills for a student to be successful at his/her internship? How could another student develop these skills prior to beginning an internship?
Some advice I would pass on to future interns would be a couple of things. First and foremost, I would advise them to remain professional. Being professional not only makes you look good but it also makes good practice when you get a real job and you're in a real professional setting. Second I would tell them to never be afraid to ask questions or be afraid in general. Being confident helps with everything in life, not just the work field.
Blog#2: How do you see yourself making decisions about your own life beyond HTHMA? Do you see yourself following a life similar to anyone you met at an internship? Why or why not?
When I had my interview with Tami, she gave me a couple useful tips that would help me succeed in real estate. She recommended that as soon as I turn 18 I should look into getting my real estate license. Next, I should find a broker to work under and start off as an assistant and learn the ropes/basics of real estate. Tami herself started of as an assistant and now she's really successful, her face is on billboards and bus benches everywhere in San Diego. So yes, I do see myself following Tami's footsteps and hopefully Ill be as successful as she is.
